This policy explains what information Swano (Swano Group) collects when you use our pickup and delivery laundry service, and what we do with it. We keep this simple: we collect what we need to pick up your clothes, clean them, and get them back to you, and nothing beyond that.
Information we collect
When you place an order, we collect:
- Your name and phone number, so our rider and support team can reach you.
- Your pickup address, and optionally a GPS pin if you choose to share your location.
- Details of what you're ordering: garments, service type, and any care preferences (starch, perfume, packaging).
- Your chosen payment method for the order.
- Your email address, only if you choose to give it, so we can send you a booking confirmation.
We do not ask you to create an account or password. Your cart contents and language preference are stored only in your own browser (not sent to us) so the app remembers them if you come back.
How we use it
We use your information to schedule and complete your pickup and delivery, contact you about your order (including via call or WhatsApp), and keep a record of past orders for our own accounting and customer service purposes. We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't sell it.
Who we share it with
Your name, phone number, and address are shared with the rider assigned to your order, since they need this to actually complete the pickup and delivery. We don't share your information with any other outside party except where required by law.
Location data
If you tap "Use My Current Location" during booking, we store the GPS coordinates for that order only, to help our rider find your address more precisely. We don't track your location at any other time.
Data storage & security
Your order information is stored on secure cloud servers operated by our technology providers. We take reasonable measures to protect it, but no online service can guarantee perfect security.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed for customer service, accounting, and legal purposes. If you'd like your data deleted sooner, contact us using the details below and we'll action it unless we're required to keep it for a legitimate business or legal reason.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us directly (see below).
Children
This service is intended for adults placing their own orders. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the update.
